The Devil in the White City

I found this book by Erik Larson fascinating. Set during the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, it tells the stories of two men: Daniel H. Burnham, the architect responsible for the fair's construction, and H.H. Holmes, a serial killer masquerading as a charming doctor. As a history buff, this book is right up my alley, but I also liked how Larson showed how many things we think of as modern got their start at the fair. The murder mystery was fun, too. Good choice, Stacy!
