Our next book by Jasper Fforde was chosen by Debbie, and a very intriguing choice it was. Set in an alternate version of London in 1985, somehow the characters from books can exist in the world, and you can go into the books with them. A very cool idea, I think. Following the plot was easier if you’d read Jane Eyre recently. I remember thinking it was an interesting idea, that wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. What did you think? Have you read any of the other books in this series?

I remember being intrigued by the idea of this book. I also remember reading Jane Eyre again not long after finishing it. Beyond that, I am kind of at a loss.
Uh-oh. Looks like I fell off the wagon a lot quicker than I thought. I didn't read this one.
I perused this book at B&N, but quickly decided that I wasn't smart enough to read it. How wimpy of me! I'd like to give it another try. I recall being in the midst of school at the time.....
Not that anyone will ever look back and see this comment, but I did finally read this one. I liked it. Very different from almost everything else we've read. I say almost everything because there is definitely a good bit of the "Time Traveler's Wife" about it. Interesting premise at least, not sure if I will take the time to hunt up any of the other books in the series, but if they were to fall in my lap, I also wouldn't be opposed to reading them.
